Sandi grew up in Frederick, South Dakota, learning to cook under Mary Alden starting in 1957. For sixty years she has cooked, taught and written down the farmhouse way of doing things.

Every episode brings one technique, one story and one recipe, the way Mary taught her: exactly, honestly and with love.
