Classic Lasagne


Ingredients
- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 1 lb. ground hamburger
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp. whole basil
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1 - 1 lb. can peeled tomatoes
- 2 - 60 oz. cans tomato paste
- 1 - 8-10 oz. pkg. lasagne noodles
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups cottage cheese
- 1 1/2 tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 lb. mozzarella cheese - grated
Instructions
- Brown meat, spoon out fat.
- Add next six ingredients.
- Simmer uncovered for thirty minutes.
- Cook noodles according to box directions.
- Beat eggs; add remaining ingredients except the mozzerella cheese.
- Layer half the noodles in 13 x 9 x 2" pan.
- Spread on top of the noodles 1/2 of the cottage cheese mixture, add half the mozzarella cheese next and then half the meat sauce. Repeat.
- Spread grated mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake at 375 degrees for thirty minutes.
