    Forum Description

    Pear Bread

    • 1/2 Cup butter
    • 1 Cup sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • 2 1/2 Cups flour
    • 1/2 Cup sour cream of yogurt
    • 1 Cup pears ((peeled & chopped))
    • 1 Tsp. almond extract
    • 1/2 Tsp. salt
    • 1 Tsp. baking powder
    • 1/4 Tsp. soda
    • 1/2 Tsp. nutmeg
    1. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and 1 at a time.
    2. Add dry ingredients.
    3. Fold in sour cream or yogurt and almond extract until well blended.
    4. Fold in chopped pears.
    5. Pour into large loaf pan that has been well oiled.
    6. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
